Hi, I am Nikki and I live in the beautiful city of Belfast in Northern Ireland.

My particular passion is for colour. I love working with colour in natural fibres, fabrics and pattern. My inspiration comes from many sources in the natural world around me as well as the built environment. This wonderful world is full of colour from the subdued tones of a misty morning to the splash of colour in a bluebell wood.

The Sasha Doll Collections

I love taking time to design and create the Sasha Doll Clothing Collections.  I enjoy choosing the new theme... collecting together the fabrics and yarns and all the embellishments which work within the chosen colour theme... I care about the details, the finishing touches and finding the right buttons...

My collection of images, fabrics, yarns and embellishments have become the paint box I use to create my new designs and collections for the amazing Sasha dolls.

I often choose the models early in the process and love to see the new outfits on the Sasha dolls... how a colour choice can bring out the dolls eye colour and beauty...

I adore working with beautiful fabrics and yarns in a wide range of natural fibres, cotton, silk, wool, bamboo...

With each new collection I create a few new styles alongside some of my favourite styles... there are always so many more ideas that I want to try but never the time to do all of them... but the ideas remain to be used for a future collection...

Textiles...

My mum taught me to knit and sew when I was a small girl.  She encouraged my love of art and textiles and I combined my passion for art and design with this love of textiles while studying for a degree and post graduate in Textile Design and Knitwear Design.  Practical skills were enhanced by completing City and Guilds courses in Patchwork and Quilting, Creative Design, Creative Embroidery, Fashion and Soft Furnishings.

For me my passion for textiles and creativity have enhanced my life immeasurably.
