I have a particular fondness for the blonde Sasha dolls.
Possibly because my first Sasha is blonde.

Katie with her Moni Dolls
Jane is my childhood Sasha doll. She is a beautiful blonde girl from mid 1968. She is played with, shiny, much loved and has visited Susanna Lewis for re-rooting of part of her fringe at the front. A doll that has been played with has a lot of character and personality and I think this is probably why many of the dolls in my collection are not mint in box but have been played with and have a history. She is wearing an exquisite outfit made by my talented friend Robyn.
[Sasha Blonde "Blue Cord" #4101 (produced between 1966-1970) and Jane dates from mid 1968] Katie is a beautiful Sasha Kilt. She is wearing her original outfit. Katie, like Jane, has a full centre part, which allows her to wear her hair loose, plaited or in two pony tails.
[Sasha Blonde "Kilt" #4-109 (produced during 1969-1970)] Katie has beautiful eyes and a very dreamy expression. She wears her hair in plaits, which is how her previous owner liked it, and I think it really suits her. She is lucky enough to have a boy and a girl. Just like little miniature Sasha dolls. The blonde girls from 1970 are particularly beautiful. Many like Sue have the oxidised lip colour - very Mary Quant, I think! Sue has a partial centre part past her her crown.

Marianne is from the same year as Sue. She has a partial centre part to just past the crown of her head and very long hair, at back below her bikini line. She has such a pretty face, and lovely blue eyes.

Greg is my gorgeous boy who came to me from Switzerland. Beautiful face with wistful expressive eyes.

Miriam has lovely gray blue eyes and a partial centre part which stops just before the crown and long bangs. She has a very wide eyed, young look about her.
[Sasha Blonde "Gingham" #107 (produced between 1969-1986), Miriam dates to 1972/73] David is a lovely early blonde Gregor. He has a very serene cute look to him and beautiful gray blue eyes.
[Gregor Fair "Denims" #305 (produced between 1971 - 1975) David dates to 1972/73] John is with Ffyon in this photograph. He is my early sexed baby boy with raised eyelids. Very dark brown eyes and blonde hair.

Tamsin, is a pretty girl from the mid 70's. She has a lot of hand finishing to her blue eyes. She has very long bangs, shich she peeks through.

Ffyon has beautiful grayish teal coloured eyes and a human hair wig. She is a very elegant Sasha.

Rhoswen is a gorgeous blue eyed Pintucks. She is very photogenic as all the LE girls are, although her stringing is a bit loose.

Rhoswen (Welsh name meaning White Rose), is #151 of 4600] Anna has a feathery one row fringe and a side part rooted hair style, which I think makes her look older. Her eyes are lovely, printed with hand finishing and little highlights. Her hair is a natural straw colour of blonde.

I was surprised when I first saw Sasha schoolgirl because there was more hand finishing to her blue eyes than I had expected. She has pretty golden coloured hair. She belongs to my niece but resides with me until she is old enough to be given her.

Gregor Schoolboy is a very handsome gregor. Similar eyes as schoolgirl and the two where bought as a pair. He belongs to my niece but resides with me until she is old enough to be given him.
[Gregor Blonde "School" #114s (Produced between 1984-1986)] Maria is a beautfiul Gotz Sasha with light brown eyes and eyelashes and a ponytail.
[Maria Gotz Production produced in 1995 and 96] Before her eyes were enhanced.
[Gotz Designer Doll, 01 08034, "Ira" (2001) #561 of 750] Ira has lovely pale blue/lavender coloured eyes. I felt they needed a little lifting so used removable watercolour pencil to giver her taupe eyelashes and a glint in her eye. (I did not want a permanent change). She arrived with her hair in one braid down the centre of her back, but I think she is prettier with ehr hair brushed and in a ponytail. Left loose her hair is extremely long.

Customised Princess Sasha. This girl is from the 1980's
but now wears a Sasha Princess wig which has not yet had its
fringe trimmed. It was the original wig with the girl
below but as I already had an original Princess wig, I have left
it with its fringe uncut as I am undecided as to cutting it.
I think it looks very beautiful without the fringe. |

Josephine is a little beauty from 1986. She is wearing an
original Limited Edition "Princess Sasha" (blonde wig).
The photo on the left shows her original Limited
Edition stamp but it has been partially removed as she was never
completed by the factory and did not reach the stage of having
numbers added. She came with a green label which states
"Unfinished Sasha - lips unpainted. Apparently, I was
told, one of the last two dolls to come out of the factory and
would have been a Limited Edition".
I have finished her repro Princess Sasha outfit. It
took a while to gather all materials together but I am delighted
with the result. She is a very special Sasha and looks really beautiful with
Martin, my Prince Gregor who until recently has never spent so
much time dressed in his velvet splendour! I have not yet decided whether to paint her lips, at the
moment, I have left them unpainted as I think it makes her look
very demure.

The Redheads are some of the most stunning Sasha dolls.
The early redhead girls and boy are particularly sought after.
I love the colour of the red hair against the golden colour of
their vinyl. The combination is very striking and I find
them most photogenic.

This gorgeous girl is a sister for Peter. She could be his twin as their eyes are just the same colour as is their hair colour. She has a full centre part and her hair came in two plaits but I like it long and loose. S he has a very fine long fringe.

[Gregor Redhead "Shorts" #5-102 (Produced between 1968 - 69), Peter dates from 1968] Beautiful in green gingham, Tara has long hair with beautiful curl to the ends. A softer ginger colour in comparison to Colleen's darker brighter red.
[Sasha Redhair "White Dress" #108 (Dates from 1979 - 1986) Tara would be from the 80's as she is a larger sized Sasha] Although Ron comes from the Trendon 80's production and Colleen is a 1995 Gotz Angela, I think that some dolls are just made to be together.

Rowena has a beautiful auburn human hair wig which when kept conditioned looks very sleek. A very pretty girl and one of my favourites.

Claudius is my lovely little redhaired toddler. Lena is his baby sister. When I was choosing a baby redhaired Sasha, I decided on Lena because she shared my grandmother's name.

The Gotz redheads really do have the most fabulous soft long hair that you want to run your fingers through!
Isn't she divine!

Group photo of our two pairs of honey blonde twins. Don't they look wonderful together. When I first saw a honey blonde girl, I thought the hair colour was perfection with the lovely golden skin tone.
Rosie and Sandy are our honey blonde babies. These two have both been lucky recipients of clothing from my friend Robyn.

Juliette and her sister are both Sasha honey blondes with lovely brown eyes. One is probably earlier than the other as their hair is very different. Juliette has shinier hair and her sister has hair that is more matte and natural in texture (similar to Harlequin).
